We all need support from time to time. Whether you are dealing with a personal crisis or just feel a bit stuck or unhappy with any aspects of your life, therapy can provide a safe judgement free space for you to work through your challenges.
I appreciate how hard it can be to find the right therapist for you so I am very happy to have a phone conversation with you free of charge before you decide if you'd like to book your first session with me.
If you feel the fit is right we will book an initial consultation which lasts for an hour and half. This is an opportunity for us to explore the areas you are looking to address, establishing your broad goals for therapy and agreeing an outline for a treatment plan designed around your individual preferences and needs.
Subsequent sessions are an hour in duration and ideally take place at the same time weekly. This is your counselling session and the "pluralistic" approach I follow is highly collaborative. Each week we will discuss progress and I welcome feedback on the aspects of our work together that you are finding useful and those that are less so. Whilst we work within the treatment plan, it will constantly evolve to ensure that your needs are being met. You, after all, are the best expert in yourself.
You can have as many counselling sessions as you feel you need. We will review this together regularly. Generally, you will know when it is the right time for you to end your therapy.
"The quality of your life ultimately depends on the quality of your relationships" (Esther Perel). Maybe you are dealing with a relationship crisis such as infidelity, divorce or a sexual issue? Perhaps you are feeling stuck or unhappy with other aspects of your relationship? It could be that you are in a good place but would just like to develop your relational intelligence to create a deeper connection? Perhaps you are considering a commitment (such as marriage) or a change (such as ethical non monogamy) and want to build relational skills in preparation? Maybe you have a relationship issue with a friend or a family member that you would both like to overcome. Whatever your situation, I provide an open minded, safe, judgement free space to help you navigate your challenges.
I appreciate how hard it can be to find the right therapist and it can be even harder to find someone you both feel comfortable with. I am very happy to have a phone conversation with each of you free of charge before you decide if you'd like to book your first session with me.
